Is high blood pressure a disease?

High blood pressure, the body says: Insufficient blood supply

Antihypertensive drugs only make the body not "speak", but may not solve the fundamental problem of making the body "speak"

Hypertension is a chronic disease. If you go to see a doctor, the doctor will remind you: it is best to take medicine for life.

Many patients are afraid when they hear: Lifetime? Will there be dependencies? Will you eat more and more? will there be any side-effects?

These worries are reasonable. After all, taking too much medicine is harmful to the body. If you have to rely on it to live your life, it will be very uncomfortable! But everyone dare not disobey the doctor's advice, otherwise the body will show you a color: as long as the drug is stopped or the dose is reduced, the blood pressure will be high again.

But how do you feel after taking the medicine? Patients often complain like this: "The blood pressure has dropped, but it is still uncomfortable, even more uncomfortable than when the blood pressure is high." Why is this? Because blood pressure rises, the body is saying: "There is insufficient blood supply in some parts." And antihypertensive drugs just keep the body from "speaking", and may not solve the fundamental problem.

People must ensure the blood supply to all parts of the body, and ischemia will cause problems. For example, coronary heart disease is myocardial ischemia caused by blockage of the blood vessels in the heart, and stroke may be insufficient blood supply to the brain. There is a type of stroke called "hypoperfusion stroke", that is, the blood does not fill the cerebral blood vessels, fails to hold the blood vessels up, the blood pressure is low, and the blood supply is insufficient, so the stroke occurs. To treat these problems, we must first ensure that blood pressure is normal, not high, and definitely not low.

It can be seen from this that blood pressure is a prerequisite for the body to maintain a normal blood supply. Once the body is ischemia somewhere, in order to avoid functional damage and even organ necrosis caused by ischemia, the body must transmit the blood at the fastest speed! Which way is the fastest? It is to increase blood pressure and increase the power of boosting blood through pressurization. Therefore, high blood pressure seems to be a disease, but in fact it is also an alarm for the body's ischemia and a way to solve it on its own. In other words, high blood pressure is only a symptom, not the cause. The reason why the symptoms did not improve after taking antihypertensive drugs is because it is symptomatic treatment and does not cure the cause.
